Since the Supreme Court eliminated the constitutional right to abortion, anti-abortion extremists across the country have continued their relentless efforts to enact total bans on abortion and eliminate access for many communities. PRH’s physician advocates are fighting back and calling on Congress to protect patients from these cruel, politically motivated attacks.
This morning, PRH Board Member Dr. Bhavik Kumar of Texas and PRH Fellow Dr. Nisha Verma of Georgia will testify before the U.S. House of Representatives about what they’re seeing in their communities. They will tell lawmakers about how abortion bans harm their patients, compromise their ability to provide evidence-based medical care, and deepen existing health care inequities. |
