Donation asks are always some of my least favorite emails to write. When I write to you I intend to establish communication and transparency, not work my way up to a donation ask. Yes, there is always a donation link tacked on at the bottom, but that's only there should you want to click it and I never want you to feel like you're pressured to do so.
As September wraps up, it marks the end of Quarter 3 for our FEC (Federal Election Committee) filing. These deadlines are important because that's when we have to present everything we've raised for everybody to see. A report which reflects a strong quarter earns a candidate more outside support for the next quarter, it happens to every candidate every quarter. It’s a necessary part of politics.
That's why we all crunch to raise as much as we can by the end of each quarter.
I know that not everybody can always chip in to each email, and nobody expects you to. You're a person, you're an American citizen who wants to do their part to save our beautiful country.
You aren't an ATM and neither I, my team, or any of the candidates I've aligned myself with view you that way.
We're coming up on the big one. This is the last report we'll have to show before the election on November 8th, and the last opportunity to easily gain new support from the outside. If you could contribute now, I'd appreciate it as I always do, but if you can't I'll still always appreciate everything you've ever done for me, this campaign, and OUR country.
