I will cut right to the chase: We have a MAJOR deadline in just about 48 hours. It is the final big Federal Election Commission (FEC) quarterly public reporting deadline before the election. With early voting opening in just two weeks and the election 40 days away, I want to reflect on what’s at stake in the midterm election.

First: The Republican stacked Supreme Court overturned 50 years of judicial precedent by overturning Roe v. Wade, beginning an onslaught of attacks against reproductive rights nationwide. Voters, who support reproductive justice by and large, are outraged.

Then: Most Republicans refused to work with us as Democrats passed bills into law to fight climate change, combat gun violence, and lower the cost of essentials like prescription drugs. The same people who inspired the insurrection on our democracy blocked voting rights legislation.

Now: They’re banking on spending enough money on disinformation campaigns to wipe away the truth about their records. They’re using this report as their biggest metric to help them flip the House red.

If our numbers are bigger than theirs, it shows that grassroots organizing, building and working with constituents is more impactful than disinformation and shady agreements with lobbyists.

In less than one week, my fundraising numbers will go public. As Frontline Chair for Democrats in tough races nationwide, my numbers need to reflect the security that across the country we will win.
