Hi there,
Sorry for the late email, but there’s a lot on my mind and I wanted to share what’s keeping me up tonight.
After just a few weeks in Congress, I’m pleased with what we’ve been able to accomplish. Introducing my first bill to protect reproductive health care access nationwide felt like a huge win, and there’s a lot more in the works.
But there’s still so much more to do. And while I have a lot of fight left in me, I’m worried about what might happen if we lose this November.
My opponent has far-right stances on so many issues, including abortion access and gun safety. He’s voted to cut health care for millions of New Yorkers, and he’s supported the idea of throwing doctors who help with abortions into jail.
If Colin Schmitt makes it to Congress, I’m fearful of all the progress that will be wiped away by him and Republican leadership. He’s in this fight for all the wrong reasons.
I want to make sure that the future we’re building is one we can be proud of. I want to leave the world in a better place for my two young sons, and thinking about how there’s so much progress left to make is keeping me up at night.
If you’re worried about these issues too, and you want to help keep up the progress we’ve been making, please chip in a few dollars to my re-election campaign. I promise you, really, that I will never stop the fight to make our country a better place for us all.
