John,
The Trump administration has announced a new proposal that could dramatically increase oil and gas drilling in Alaska. The area, known as the Western Arctic Reserve, is the largest roadless place in the United States. It's home to polar bears, brown bears, caribou and millions of migratory birds — as well as native communities that have lived on the land for millennia.
But now that's all at risk: The plan would directly destroy Arctic habitat even as it exacerbates the global warming that's melting our polar ice.
Tell the Bureau of Land Management to withdraw its plan to turn this magnificent Alaska reserve into an oilfield — to protect this precious region instead of polluter profits.

If we don't fight back, the agency could open up whole sections of the reserve — including Teshekpuk Lake and the Colville River — that have been specifically protected from fossil fuel leasing. An astounding 18.3 million acres could be sacrificed to the oil industry.
Act now to demand Trump's BLM drop this plan that threatens Arctic wildlife and our climate.
