Dear Friend,
As you have likely heard by now, Hurricane Ian has made landfall in Florida and is one of the strongest storms to ever hit the United States. Life-threatening flooding is expected to spread quickly, impacting families in central Florida and elsewhere in the state.
Project HOPE’s emergency response team is on the ground to immediately enter the affected areas when it is safe to do so. We will distribute urgently needed supplies like over-the-counter medication, pain relievers, diapers, hygiene kits, bottled water, and food.
We are particularly focused on vulnerable communities, including the elderly, those with disabilities and people with pre-existing medical conditions. Project HOPE has a long history of responding to natural disasters and has responded to several hurricanes in the U.S. and territories, including the recent and continued response to Hurricane Fiona.
These disasters remind us how important it is for us to have reliable, ongoing support. Please make a monthly gift today to help people in Florida impacted by Hurricane Ian and to continue our work responding to health crises and disasters around the world.
