John, A few years ago, I googled 'how to start a campaign?'. I knew our country couldn’t go on like this, but I had no idea how to fix it. Google helped fill in some of the gaps, but honestly, the political world is confusing! I won’t pretend to have all the answers but here are some things I’ve learned along the way: Just like in the military, you are only as strong as the people on your team, and luckily, I have been blessed with a good one. (My wife is my number one supporter)! Every single day matters, especially this close to Election Day. In 2020 I lost by less than 10,000 votes, and every night I wonder to myself – what if I had sent one more email, made one more call, or knocked on one more door? Campaigns are SUPER expensive. 30 seconds of airtime will cost anywhere from $500-$2,000 PER AD played – that adds up to an average of $10k per week if we run a 30-second ad just once a day. But the most important thing I’ve learned along the way: winning a race is made possible by grassroots support and I can’t afford to leave anything on the table. I’m coming to you today with a humble request: just $5 to flip this district, ensure my advertisements get played on TV, and remove the Speakers gavel from Pelosi’s hands. And with recent polling showing my opponent as vulnerable, and categorizing this race as a toss-up, we need to build momentum NOW! With just five seats needed, we must put EVERY single seat in play.
