John – It's Alex, Trudy's campaign manager, writing to you with an exciting update: Our first ads of the general election are now airing on millions of televisions all across this state. Don't worry, we're making sure that Missourians know exactly how dangerous our opponent, Eric Schmitt, is too.

But running ads is expensive, and we're falling short of our next $10,000 midnight grassroots goal. We have to send a huge check to the TV stations in the next couple of days, and we simply cannot afford to miss a single deadline right now. So please, will you chip in $5 before 11:59 p.m. tonight so that we can keep our ads up on the air all across Missouri? Any amount that you can spare truly helps!

Listen, John, 8% of voters here in Missouri are still undecided! But with the election just a few short weeks away, they won't be undecided for long. People are making up their minds about this election right now. I know that we have a winning message. I was born and raised here – I know that Missourians are ready for a leader who chooses kindness over extremism and people over politics.

But we cannot underestimate the power of far-right lies, misinformation, and fear-mongering. Eric Schmitt and his extremist megadonors are going to be flooding the airwaves with hateful attacks. We cannot let them drown out Trudy's message and buy this election.

I know you've already done so much to support Trudy, and we would never have been able to run these ads without YOU. From the bottom of my heart – thank you. But these next few weeks are going to make or break our campaign, and I need to be able to count on you again.

That's why I'm personally asking: Will you rush a grassroots donation right now so that we have the resources to compete with GOP spending, reach the voters who will decide this election, and keep our ads on the air? We're so close to flipping Missouri blue, and I know that we can do this together.
