We’re stuck between a rock and a hard place this week, John.

We usually account for a surge of grassroots support from folks like you who know that we’re facing a high-pressure FEC deadline in two days.

But recently, our emails have been getting buried in some folks’ inboxes. They don’t know that my opponent and I are locked in a toss-up race, or that Roll Call just named me the most vulnerable Democrat up for re-election.

GOP political operatives are hoping we’ll post weak numbers so they can escalate their attack ads and online disinformation across VA-02.

But this race is simply too consequential to hand them the advantage.

So I have to ask while I’ve got your attention: will you rush $25 by midnight tonight to make sure we hit our end-of-quarter goal?
