AXIOS: House GOP eyes repeal of Dems' drug pricing law
"Republicans are not giving up the fight against sweeping measures aimed at lowering prescription drug prices"
|
John,
Earlier this year, Matt and Democrats in Congress passed the historic Inflation Reduction Act. This legislation allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices, caps out-of-pocket costs for insulin at $35 a month, and caps out-of-pocket costs at $2,000 for those enrolled in Medicare drug plans.
But just last week, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy unveiled his extreme priorities for next year if Republicans retake the House – which includes undoing this historic prescription drug price reform.
While Matt is fighting to ensure every Pennsylvanian can afford the lifesaving medication they need, Big Pharma, Kevin McCarthy, and national Republicans are spending hand-over-first to oppose efforts to lower drug costs.
We need to stop Republicans' extreme agenda and lower prescription drug costs, but we can't do that without protecting Matt's seat in PA-08.
Before our final end-of-quarter deadline before the election, will you rush a donation of $5 or more right away to protect Matt's seat against Big Pharma and the national Republicans trying to buy this seat?
Thanks,
Team Cartwright
