Republicans have signaled that if they take back power in the midterms, they want to pass a federal law banning abortion in all 50 states.

Dear MoveOn member,

Republicans have signaled that if they take back power in the midterms, they want to pass a federal law banning abortion in all 50 states.

But John, we have the power to prevent this from happening—and a plan to ensure abortion access.

If we can expand our Senate majority by just two seats in November, and if we hold onto the House, we can restore abortion rights nationwide as soon as January.

Those two Republican-held seats we can flip? Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Our Democratic nominees for Senate in those states, John Fetterman and Mandela Barnes, are two champions of abortion rights who will vote to end the filibuster and pass national abortion protections into federal law.

But both of them are running in tight races—and could use your support right now.

Can you please rush a $3 donation to John and Mandela? 100% of your donation will go directly to their campaigns.

Yes, I'll chip in.

I am so proud to support John and Mandela. John has dedicated his life to leveling the playing field for working people. As the former mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, John worked to build the once-booming steel town back from collapse, and as the state's current lieutenant governor, John has fought for economic justice and criminal justice reform.

He's running against Dr. Mehmet Oz—an ultra-rich Republican snake oil peddler who has embraced Donald Trump's Big Lie and opposes abortion rights.

And my friend Mandela Barnes, Wisconsin's lieutenant governor, has dedicated his life to fighting from the heart for hardworking families like his own.

Mandela's mom was a Milwaukee school teacher, and his dad worked the third shift at the General Motors plant. Those were solid, middle-class jobs—the kinds of jobs that could support a family.

But for decades now, the wealthy and well connected have gobbled up more money and power and shrunk the middle class. Working families are being squeezed to their breaking point. Mandela will fight back to put power in the hands of the people, not billionaires and giant corporations.

He's running against incumbent Senator Ron Johnson, who on January 6 tried to hand-deliver to Vice President Mike Pence forged documents with a fake pro-Trump slate of electors. Ron Johnson has peddled lies on everything from election integrity to COVID-19. We've got to defeat him.

I have been so grateful to have the support of MoveOn members in my Senate races, and I need John and Mandela as colleagues with me in the Senate to restore abortion rights and fight for the people. So, if you're ready to elect John Fetterman and Mandela Barnes to the U.S. Senate, I'm asking:

If you can, will you split a $3 donation between John and Mandela's campaigns for U.S. Senate? Together, we can flip two Senate seats and expand our Democratic majority—but only if we fight hard.

Thanks for being a part of this.

–Elizabeth
