I am so excited to share that Vice President Kamala Harris is coming to Texas.

The Vice President will be our keynote speaker and guest of honor at this year’s Johnson-Jordan Reception on October 8th in Austin, and we couldn’t be more honored to host her in the Lone Star State!

A long time friend to Texas, I’ll never forget the way Vice President Harris welcomed our state legislators to DC with open arms after the historic 2021 walk-out for voting rights. She sees the obstacles we’re facing, and she’s always been a fierce ally and advocate in our fight for progress.

The legacies of President Lyndon Baines Johnson and Representative Barbara Jordan continue to shape our nation. And today, Vice President Harris walks the same halls they did before her as the first Black and South Asian woman to serve as Vice President of the United States.
