John —
In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to my campaign for United States Senate in North Carolina. Let me explain why this request is so important:
We’re facing a critical end-of-year FEC fundraising deadline in just a few days. It will determine whether we have the resources to build the kind of campaign that can stand up to Mitch McConnell and Thom Tillis’ network — or let them buy this Senate seat.
I’ve seen it happen far too many times, and I don’t want it to happen here in North Carolina in 2020.
That’s why I’m refusing to accept a single donation from corporate PACs in this campaign. Instead, I’m relying on folks like you to help build a winning campaign that will stand up to the likes of Mitch McConnell.
I’m running for Senate because I’m frustrated by the influence of corporate special interests I see in Washington today. I know you are, too. The system is broken, and we need to do something about it. That’s why I’m asking you:
Will you make a contribution of $10 or more before our critical end-of-year FEC deadline? Our campaign is refusing any donations from corporate PACs. Anything you can give would make a meaningful difference.
The polls show this race is winnable because the people of North Carolina are fed up with politicians who don’t work for them. They’re sick and tired of leaders who do the bidding of wealthy corporations instead of the people.
We all deserve better from our elected officials, and I’m running to be the independent voice you deserve in the Senate today.
Thanks for reading. And thanks for all you do.
