Make no mistake. Climate change is here, and it’s already hurting low-income communities and communities of color like mine.

I’ve seen its consequences in my neighborhood – high rates of asthma, respiratory diseases, and cancer caused by air pollution. And I know firsthand that our fight for climate solutions cannot wait.

The Inflation Reduction Act was a historic step forward and I was proud to vote to pass it into law. But that was only the beginning.

As we approach the end of September, I’m continuing this fight for climate justice and to elect diverse candidates who will work by my side.
