You heard it straight from Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson: we all need to pitch in to defeat her radical, ultra-MAGA opponent, but first let us explain why this race is so important.

Ultra-MAGA extremists are actively casting doubt on the results of the 2020 election, limiting access to the ballot box, and many are even willing to throw out the results of free and fair elections.

Jocelyn's opponent, Kristina Karamo, embodies the worst of today’s MAGA Republicans. She’s embraced Qanon, Trump’s big lie, and measures that restrict the right to vote. She calls people who disagree with her Satanists, and she said the reason she's running for office is to fight against abortion.

If Karamo wins, she’ll oversee Michigan’s election laws and make decisions about when, where, and how folks vote, and is the person who will certify the 2024 election. And what's worse, she'd abuse the power of the Secretary of State's office to criminalize a woman's right to choose.

It would be akin to putting an arsonist in charge of the fire department.
