Roy Cooper for North Carolina

John —

We know what happens when Republicans are in control of North Carolina. Before we broke the GOP’s legislative supermajorities in 2018, Republicans had a few years of free reign over our state.

They enacted the anti-LGTBQ+ “Bathroom Bill,” restricted abortion access, and, once Roy beat Pat McCrory, they stripped the Governor’s Office of traditional powers before he was sworn in.

Since 2018, Roy has vetoed bills that would limit access to reproductive care, endanger our environment and make it harder for voters to cast a ballot. These measures are simply wrong for North Carolina, and thanks to Roy’s veto power, radical Republicans haven't been able to implement them.

Now that Roe v. Wade has fallen, Roy is the last line of defense for reproductive rights in North Carolina.

North Carolina Democrats MUST unite to protect Roy’s veto power and the fundamental right to reproductive care. That means electing strong, pro-choice Democratic legislators who will block GOP supermajorities in Raleigh. Chip in $5 before our September deadline on Friday to help >>>

Right now, Republicans would need to pick up just THREE state House seats and TWO state Senate seats to secure enough votes to push through their ultra-radical agenda.

If they gain that power, we can count on Republican legislators to enact extreme legislation targeting reproductive rights, voting rights, our environment, and more. After all, they’ve passed such laws before.

Roy’s veto power is the key to defending our rights and preventing Republicans from taking us backward. But if we fail to meet our $20,000 end-of-month goal, we won’t be able to provide the support we’ve planned for critical legislative candidates. Roy needs you to rush an immediate $5 contribution to close the gap >>>
