Hey folks, Meghann here – Jasmine’s wife. I’m reaching out today because Jasmine’s FEC deadline hits in two days and she’s still short of her goal!
Will you kick in $25 right now to help Jasmine catch up before her fast-approaching FEC deadline on Friday?
You may know that soccer is kind of a thing in our family. I used to play professional soccer, Jasmine played growing up, Cal just kicked off a new season with his rec team, the Cheeseballs, and at 3, Lily and Wyatt have just started their very first season, which involves lots of snacks, snuggles, and chaos. Mostly snacks.
Over the course of Jasmine’s campaign, here is what I’ve learned about why playing soccer and running campaigns aren’t really all that different.
- You need to play offense and defense. Jasmine plays offense by connecting with voters and spreading her message across WNC, but she also has to play defense against GOP attacks and outside spending.
- You win by scoring goals. Maybe scoring goals and campaign goals are slightly different, but the objective remains the same: you have to hit your goals in order to win.
- Most importantly, you only win when you play as a team. Just like teammates on the field rely on each other, Jasmine relies on you to be with us every step of the way.
You get the point. Our family loves soccer, I love a good sports metaphor, and we are all in on winning this campaign.
It’s absolutely essential that Jasmine reaches her end-of-quarter goal so that our team has the resources it will take to win this race. So, friend, are you ready to be on Team Jasmine and donate $25 or whatever you can today?
