Today, Hunger Free America CEO Joel Berg and several of our Food Action Board members are at the White House, participating in the Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health. This is the first time in over 50 years that such a conference is happening, and not only are we thrilled to be participating, we're particularly gratified that several of our recommendations have been adopted by the White House in their hunger strategy plan!

HFA Leading the Way
Earlier this year, we released our recommendations for the conference. We are thrilled to see so many of our suggestions included in the White House proposal, including:
Permanently extending the Child Tax Credit
Raising the minimum wage
Increasing access to childcare and safe, accessible housing
Fully engaging virtually every domestic federal agency in concrete, meaningful, systematic efforts to fight hunger and boost nutrition
Making it easier to access benefits online
