September’s almost over, and so much has happened that it’s hard to keep track of where things stand. So before I ask you for your hard-earned dollars, I want to lay out the stakes for you.

Across our country, Congressional Republicans are clear in their intentions to not only go against everything we stand for, but undo all of the progress Democrats have made these past 2 years.

Kevin McCarthy has already outlined the GOP’s game plan if they succeed in a Republican takeover of Congress. On the chopping block? Women’s access to reproductive healthcare, expansions for Medicaid for so many Americans, and even slashes to our Social Security and Medicare programs.

These Republicans are not acting like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. They’re saying it loudly for all to hear. We need to do everything we can to ensure Democrats keep our majority in the House so our country doesn’t slip backwards.

This end-of-quarter deadline is our biggest test yet to prove that Delaware can, and will, stay blue, but it’s going to take all of us coming together to create the strength we need to win. We need to make sure we do all we can to motivate Democrats to turn out this November. We all know what’s at stake – and we can’t afford to get complacent as Democrats. We need to work like everything is on the line – because it is.

And Republicans aren’t going down without a fight. Their national campaign arm is raking in money to boost their candidates, and the GOP’s top leaders, like Kevin McCarthy, are being deployed to districts everywhere, trying to mobilize their base to flip seats red and destroy our majority. They’re even competing in seats where President Biden won by double digits.

We don’t have to match them dollar for dollar, team, but we do have to up our ground game to make sure we can counter their efforts every step of the way.

Democrats are a force, we are resilient, and we will never back down from helping our neighbors in need. So while Congressional Republicans are trying to take us down, let’s come together one more time before our critical end-of-quarter deadline to prove we have what it takes to stand strong.
