*OTTAWA COUNTY, MI?**?*? GIANT SPIDERS IN THE NEWS! Georgia has recently been invaded by giant Joro Spiders as big as your hand! Is this really true, and how much of it is news-hype? Will it spread from Georgia? Will it come to Michigan?

Join YouTube personality Bob The Spider Hunter, as he helps sort out the truth from the hype on this Joro Spider Invasion! Following the discussion is a time of hands on with the live spiders, and if conditions are right a short hunt for spiders on the grounds.

Experience the autumn season in a new way through nature journaling! Practice your skills as we slowly meander the trails and pause to sit, draw, write, ask questions, and record our observations. Learn new drawing and writing techniques specific to the walk theme while building community and connection. The Nature Journal Club Themed Walks compliment our Introduction to Nature Journaling course and while taking the class prior to these walks is not required, it is recommended.

Join our Outdoor Educator and resident Music Therapist to explore nature through music and the outdoors. This session is designed for those with cognitive and mobility impairments (MiCI, MoCI, SXI), so bring your caregiver, wheel chair, walker, and any alternative communication system you use. We'll spend time playing instruments, singing songs about nature, and exploring along our paved nature trail. *Caregiver must attend with each attendee*

The Shoreline Amateur Astronomical Association (SAAA) will have telescopes available for observing the fall skies (weather permitting). Dress appropriately and bring a lawn chair, bug spray, and cover your flashlight with a red lens. *Program will be cancelled if it rains.
