John —
First and foremost, I want to say thank you to everybody who has supported our grassroots campaign. I am so grateful to the more than 100,000 people who have helped us get to where we are - less than 2 months from making history. It is humbling.
The truth is I’m reaching out with a request today because we have an important FEC fundraising deadline at the end of this month. Will you please consider making a contribution to our grassroots campaign to help us hit our ambitious goal?
We’re heading into the final stretch of this campaign. Right after Labor Day, everything kicked into an even higher gear. Senate Republicans’ outside spending is going to increase by millions of dollars.
Republicans can spend millions on false attack ads against me, like they’re doing right now. But I refuse to back down because this seat and our next Senator’s vote should not be for sale.
My opponent Ted Budd thinks he can just let special interests buy this seat for him, and in return, he’ll continue doing exactly what he’s done in Congress — voting to keep the system rigged in favor of billionaires and corporations. He will fight for a future where abortion is banned in every state, where marriage equality is overturned, and where economic inequality only gets worse.
I’m running this race to be a voice for people just like you. I will not accept a future where our children have fewer rights than we did. We cannot go backward. I will never hesitate to do what is right in the U.S. Senate — justice for the people will be my North Star.
But the truth is I simply cannot do this alone.
So I’m humbly asking you to split your first $5 contribution to our campaign and Valerie Foushee's campaign today to help us flip this seat and expand our Senate majority. Our end-of-quarter FEC deadline is almost here, and it is critical that we reach our goal and raise the resources necessary to compete with the Republicans trying to buy this seat.

Thank you in advance for making a donation.
We have to give this our all because every dollar donated, every voter registered, and every door knocked will matter when the votes are counted.
