Months ago, the DCCC invited a series of progressive organizations to
voice their concerns about how the blacklist is harming new progressive
leaders. Now, we know that it was all just damage control.
The DCCC refused to change. New progressive primary challengers are
struggling to find staff and vendors because of the looming shadow of the
blacklist, even when they’re challenging Trump Democrats like Henry
Cuellar and Dan Lipinski.
Even Justice Democrats are experiencing this reality firsthand — Justice
Democrat Jamaal Bowman in NY-16 is having trouble finding enough staff
because young people and potential organizers are afraid that their
careers might be at risk if they get blacklisted.

progressive campaigns isn’t just unfair — it threatens progressive
enthusiasm and turnout for 2020. Will you split a

This brazen sabotage cannot go unanswered. The progressive agenda is
overwhelmingly popular and cannot be ignored.
From a Green New Deal to Medicare for All, poll after poll shows that an
unapologetically people-first platform inspires voters across the
political spectrum — from progressive Democrats to self-described
moderates to Independent voters.
We need a new generation of leaders who will fight for those ideas, stand
up for their communities, and present a powerful united front against the
divide-and-conquer politics of Donald Trump.
If incumbent politicians — like Henry Cuellar, Eliot Engel, and Dan
Lipinski — refuse to fulfill that popular mandate, then it’s time to
replace them.
