Keep Space for Peace Week

Did you know that by 2030, the space industry will be worth over $1 trillion? Much of that is driven by the militarisation of space and Britain is at the forefront.

Keep Space for Peace Week promotes the peaceful use of space and scientific technologies. This year it runs from Saturday, October 1-8 with events ([link removed]) against the weaponsiation of space taking place around the world.

Just Stop Oil - Join us on 1 October

On Saturday, 1 October, the Just Stop Oil coalition is coming together in central London from 11am for marches, sit downs, and people’s assemblies. It's the start of a month of direct actions to force the government to take more action on climate. Information on finding a starting point near you, coaches, and how you can get more involved can be found on their website ([link removed]) .

An emergency zoom event on the climate emergency will take place this Thursday, 29 September from 7pm with contributions from CND Vice-President Jeremy Corbyn, MP. You can register here ([link removed]) .

CND is a partner in the Just Stop Oil Coalition as we understand that fossil fuels drive military conflict and climate catastrophe. The government needs to focus on genuine renewable energy, insulation for homes, and to shift jobs from fossil fuels, nuclear power, weapons and war into clean and peaceful job opportunities.
