Health experts recommend that doctors screen all adult patients under 65 for anxiety.
This highlights the extreme stress levels that hit the U.S. since the start of the pandemic. The advisory panel said this guidance intends to help prevent undetected and untreated mental health disorders.
The number of adults with anxiety and/or depressive disorders is rising in America. One study cited by the task force found that from Aug. 2020 to Feb. 2021, reports of symptoms of these disorders increased from 36.4% to 41.5%.Â
