Leora Levy Responds to Market Uncertainty and Impending Recession as Biden-Blumenthal Economy Fails
GREENWICH, CT - Yesterday, fear over the state of our economy pushed the S&P 500 to a new 2022 low while the DOW Jones Industrial Average officially entered a bear market, declining more than 20%. This comes as the Fed increased interest rates 0.75% for a third consecutive time, in an attempt to curb inflation rates. All are further evidence of the Biden-Blumenthal recession that is making life even more difficult for every American. These problems are self-inflicted by the Biden Administration and rubber stamped by Dick Blumenthal, who spent trillions of taxpayer dollars and created this economic downturn.
Urging Connecticut residents to vote for new leadership that supports smart economic policies and denounces blank check spending, political outsider and U.S. Senate candidate Leora Levy issued the following statement on Biden and Blumenthal’s failed economy.
“Since Biden took office, markets have gone from record highs to historic lows in 2022. From rising prices at the grocery store and the gas pump to a declining housing market and depleted 401ks, the American people – blue and white collar workers alike – have been under constant economic assault thanks to the policies of Joe Biden and Dick Blumenthal.
“People are watching their life savings implode while all Biden and Blumenthal have to offer are so-called big government solutions that only make our problems worse. This is the unfortunate reality with which the people of Connecticut and our country must contend on a daily basis. Blumenthal and Biden live in their DC bubble spending taxpayers’ money while everyone else in America is suffering. The recession is here and we need new leadership who will end reckless spending and stand up for middle class families and taxpayers. No Connecticut resident can afford six more years of Senator Blumenthal.”
