Good Morning,
Like many of you I’ve been closely monitoring the approach of Hurricane Ian as the storm nears our state. While the exact trajectory of the hurricane seems to veer south of our district, the storm's size and strength are still a threat to life and property.
With Hurricane Ian approaching, we will closing our campaign office today, Wednesday, September 28th; Thursday, September 29th; and as needed for Friday, September 30th.
We are suspending campaign activities and voter outreach until Saturday, October 1st, so that the focus of the community can be on hurricane preparedness and recovery.
If you haven't already, I encourage you and your families to begin preparing now for the storm by stocking up on supplies, planning for power outages, and educating yourself on evacuation protocols. In this moment of potential emergency, we must come together for the greater good of our community. In that spirit, I urge you to follow the guidance of emergency agencies tasked with keeping us all safe.
After Hurricane Ian, our campaign will be participating in recovery efforts if the storm’s aftermath makes them necessary. We invite you to join us in our efforts.
