What that means to me

a bolo tie

On the campaign trail, people always ask me about my bolo ties.

Many people remark how odd it is to see a bolo here in North Carolina. I always tell them, it is not odd, you're just not looking in the right places.?

In the heart of Lumbee Country here in Southeastern North Carolina, I'd argue a bolo is more common than a standard necktie.?

It is one of the ways that we acknowledge our American Indian heritage.

I am a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe. We're the largest tribe east of the Mississippi River. Like many communities, we are often forgotten by our lawmakers.?

For the past 12 years I have served in the NC House to make sure my community cannot be ignored.

Now, I am running for Congress to make sure that no one in Southeastern NC is left behind. With your support I will be the first American Indian Congressman from North Carolina! Help us bring quality leadership to our nation's capital.

Your donation helps us organize rural, Southeastern North Carolina. We know this race can be the difference maker and with your support anything is possible.?

Thank you for being part of my team,

Charles Graham
