TechChange is thrilled to announce the inaugural Frontiers of Digital Development Forum ([link removed]) (FDDF), a hybrid conference that brings a critical lens to emerging technology and development.


Organized by USAID, Chemonics, Digital Impact Alliance, DAI, Premise, Google, and TechChange, FDDF builds on the Global Digital Development Forum ([link removed]) and examines aspirational technologies and their practical utility - or lack thereof - for large-scale humanitarian and development objectives.


FDDF will feature tough conversations on polarizing topics concerning emerging tech and development. Conversations that require tech companies, policymakers, funders, innovators, and implementers to come together at the same table. And it will rely heavily on Global South perspectives to help set the agenda and shape the future.

FDDF was born out of a need revealed by its sister event, the Global Digital Development Forum ([link removed]) (GDDF).

Feedback from the 2500+ participants at GDDF 2022 demonstrated an urgent need to further demystify the frontiers of digital development and critically examine their applications for international development.

Given the absence of a dedicated convening to achieve this, TechChange decided to launch the Frontiers of Digital Development Forum ([link removed]) (FDDF).

FDDF will convene key players from the public, private, and social sectors both virtually from around the world through the TechChange platform as well as in-person in Washington, DC. We will discuss the highs, lows, and considerations for emerging technologies in the digital development space.
