Welcome to issue 25 of the Houston DSA Newsletter! I believe 25 is the hammer and sickle anniversary, a perfect gift for this holiday season. I'm Stephen Adkison, Houston DSA's Communications Secretary. Thanks for reading, and for doing all the work that I write about in these newsletters.

Last Week in Houston DSA

Last Monday our Reading Group met to discuss Mark Fischer's Capitalist Realism. It's highly recommended reading explaining the way that capitalism has conditioned us all to believe that there is no alternative in an attempt to stop us from fighting for a better future. Thanks to everyone that came out! Keep an eye out for information on the future of our Political Education Working Group.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Debate Watch Party Thursday night! It was a blast seeing everyone and cheering on Bernie Sanders together. Truly, the only way to watch these debates. Speaking of, we've been having regular canvasses for Bernie Sanders as well as our other endorsed candidates! Today we had a canvass specifically around the Housing For All plank of Bernie's platform. The best way to keep up to date on those is to like us on Facebook and join our Mattermost channel, which is for members only. Forward us your membership confirmation email to be added!
