TDI notice for consumers with FedNat Insurance policies

FedNat, a Florida insurance company licensed in Texas, was ordered by a Florida court to end its operations. FedNat policies, except for federal flood policies, will be canceled October 27, 2022.

Texas policyholders can learn about how claims will be paid, what they can do, and who to contact on our FAQ webpage [ [link removed] ].

To help protect Texas coastal insurance consumers, TDI issued an emergency rule [ [link removed] ] earlier this year that removes certain barriers to getting wind and hail coverage through the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA).
