This is a big week for our campaign. We’re facing our final quarterly Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing deadline before the election. It results in a public fundraising report, so it couldn’t be more crucial.
We need strong numbers in our report to show the strength of our grassroots campaign as voters take to the polls, so we set a goal to raise $28,000 online before the quarter ends on Friday at midnight.
This is the most important goal we’ve faced—not only is it our last big chance to prove we have what it takes to win in our toss up race, but everything we raise is essential to expanding our outreach in the final 6 weeks.
This is the moment to dig deep. We have just over 6 weeks to go until Election Day, and our opponent and her backers are pouring money into Kansas to drown the airwaves in misleading attack ads against me.
And they’re waiting to look at our public filing report to gauge the strength of our grassroots movement going into the final weeks of the race. We need to show them that we’re ready to beat Adkins, just like we did last month when we defeated her anti-abortion ballot measure, and like we did in 2020 when we won by 10 points.
Already our new ads are getting major coverage for pointing out Adkins’ lies and hypocrisy. Now, it’s up to us to determine how many swing voters can see them before they cast their ballots.
Here’s what NBC News says about Adkins’ support of the RSC budget: “The proposal also contains a proposed federal abortion ban that would begin when a fetal heartbeat is first detected — generally between five and seven weeks.” Because of this, they pointed to abortion as the bellwether issue of our race.
