"Mike Dunleavy secretly collaborated with Pebble Mine to lobby for Alaska mining project."
- CNN, 12/20/2019

John --

Corrupt. Shameful. Crooked.

That's my diagnosis of how Mike Dunleavy and his allies worked in secret with a foreign mining company to swindle Alaskans and fast-track approval of a mine in Bristol Bay that scientists say could devastate the world's most valuable wild salmon habitat.

As a commercial fisherman, I know how important Bristol Bay is to Alaska's economy and our way of life. Each year, it generates 14,000 jobs and $1.5 billion in economic activity.

Alaska, and the world, simply cannot allow the Pebble Mine to move forward.

I'm running for the Senate to end the culture of corruption in our politics and get our democracy working for the people again. I'll never take talking points from a huge corporation or high-powered lobbyist.

I'll be a U.S. Senator who fights for people, not special interests, and certainly not a Canadian mining company. But I need your help to defeat Dan Sullivan and take on his allies, like Mike Dunleavy. Please chip in $5 or more before our end-of-year FEC fundraising deadline so we can get to work on winning this election in 2020.

When Congress held a hearing on the Pebble Mine, expert after expert testified that there is no way for the mine to mitigate the acidic water and toxic chemicals. It would harm our environment, kill our fish, and destroy our rich native culture in Bristol Bay.

As your senator, I'll fight to stop the Pebble Mine, but I can only do that if folks like you stand with me and give our grassroots campaign the resources to take on Dan Sullivan, Mike Dunleavy, and the special interests that back them.

Please chip in $5 or more before our end-of-year fundraising FEC deadline so we can bring a prescription for change to Washington that delivers results for people, not special interests.
