On Friday night, the Pima County Superior Court ruled to uphold a draconian 1901 law and allowed a total abortion ban to take effect in Arizona – with no exceptions for rape or incest.

As a social worker, I’ve seen first-hand how restrictions on reproductive health care harm a person’s physical and mental well-being. I’m terrified of the consequences this ban will have on Arizonans and their families.

As governor, I will work every day to ensure access to affordable and safe health care for all, including access to abortion. But first, we have to win.

So I’m asking for your help, team Please, will you split $3 between my campaign and the Democratic Governors Association? All donations made to the DGA before 11:59 p.m. on Friday will be TRIPLE-MATCHED up to the DGA’s $200,000 end-of-quarter goal to help us win in critical states like Arizona.

Right now, Arizonans are facing an unprecedented assault on our most fundamental rights. And to make matters worse, Arizona’s abortion ban mandates jail time for abortion providers. Medical providers will now be forced to think twice before providing what is often necessary and lifesaving health care.

Make no mistake: this outcome is the product of a decades-long attack on reproductive freedom. And Kari Lake’s full-throated support of this dangerous law shows how far she is willing to go to take away Arizonans’ freedoms and put our health on the line.

But there is hope. As Arizona’s next governor, I will do everything in my power to protect reproductive rights – starting by using my veto pen to block any legislation that compromises that right.

First, I have to win. And I’m in a neck-and-neck race here. The Cook Report has rated my race as a toss-up, and the latest poll has me down by just 1 point.

To flip Arizona blue, we’ll need a historic surge of grassroots support from folks like you. And investments (like the one I hope you’ll make today) are critical to bridging gaps like these.
