And ICYMI - Governor Glenn Youngkin is attacking transgender students' rights. Late last Friday, his administration issued an order to public schools directing them to force students to use their "biological sex" when it comes to bathrooms, locker rooms, activities, etc. It's disgusting what they're trying to do and it is nothing short of discrimination.
This is what happens when the Republicans are in charge. And this is why it's so important that we defend our majorities in Congress in November and elect Democrats up and down the ballot, from school board to the Senate. You can submit a public comment condemning Youngkin's anti-trans policy here.
Finally, the fall campaign season is in full swing and AYD Knocktoberfest is Saturday, October 1st. Make sure you get your ticket today! It's an opportunity to hang with fellow Dems, candidates, and community leaders for a fun night of Bingo and Democracy.

AYD Knocktoberfest 2022: Bingo Night
Join AYD for our annual Knocktoberfest fundraiser with Arlington's Joint Campaign Committee on Saturday, October 1st at 6pm at the Continental Pool Lounge in Rosslyn! Come out for a night of fun, games, and hanging out with fellow Dems, candidates, and community leaders!
This year for our competition we will be playing BINGO! If you go canvassing with us earlier that day, you will receive an extra "free space" on your bingo cards. Prizes to be announced!

Join Arlington Young Democrats for a canvass event for Jennifer Wexton with Virginia Young Democrats on Saturday, October 1st! We will meet at a location in Arlington to carpool to Loudoun County. Location: Meet in North Arlington (location given after sign-up), carpool to Loudoun County
Date: Saturday, October 1st
Time: Meet at 9am in Arlington, canvass at 10am Please be prepared to walk around for a while (think: athletic clothing, tennis shoes, sunglasses, baseball cap/visor), and keep an eye on the forecast. We recommend while canvassing that you wear sunscreen, bring water and snacks, and come with a fully charged phone as we will be using a mobile app to canvass.
