The number of veterans in Congress is at an all-time low, while party polarization is at an all-time high. Coincidence? I doubt it! Veterans understand the value in working across the aisle for a common good. I’m going to take that value with me to Congress and get things done.

My military career has given me a different world view from most other candidates on what service really means. Once I made Colonel, I thought my deployment days were over until a hijacked plane slammed into the Pentagon, just around the corner from my office. I knew America would go to war again, and I would go where duty called.
