Engagement Opportunity: County Releases the  Preliminary Concept Plan for Langston Boulevard

Arlington County has shared the Preliminary Concept Plan (PCP) for the Langston Boulevard corridor. Affordable housing advocates can:

  • Attend an upcoming in-person design studio
  • Provide your input via a new feedback form to help refine the planning ideas proposed in the PCP
  • Express concern that the PCP falls well short of the 2,500 affordable units promised for the Langston Boulevard corridor in the County's 2015 Affordable Housing Master Plan

What's Next for the Barcroft Apartments?

The draft Master Financing and Development Plan for the Barcroft Apartments is expected to be presented to the County Board in October. Feedback opportunities for the public will follow, resulting in Board action in Spring 2023.

AHS has endorsed the Call to Action to the Board from Arlington Community Foundation. We have asked that they commit to preserving the 30% AMI units at Barcroft Apartments as part of new owner Jair Lynch's upcoming Master Finance and Development Plan.
