Today, at 5:30pm ET, the Senate will vote on the Continuing Resolution to keep the government running. Sen. Manchin is trying to attach his dirty permitting side deal to must-pass legislation.

This is a terrible deal that would have devastating impacts on our environment, effectively canceling out the benefits of the IRA only two months after leadership in Congress and the administration touted it as the ‘largest climate investment ever’.

The deal would advance harmful projects like the Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) — the emissions equivalent of adding 37 coal plants a year — and fast-track permits for all fossil fuel projects by reducing environmental review and community input.
