Dear Neighbor,
Climate change isn’t a possibility — it’s a reality that we’re seeing in extreme weather events, heat waves, and flooding that are already affecting our neighborhoods. The Inflation Reduction Act addresses our climate crisis and is the single largest climate investment in U.S. history. It puts us on a path toward achieving a 40% decrease in our carbon emissions by 2030, while creating thousands of good-paying jobs, reducing pollution, and bringing down energy costs for families. I voted to pass the Inflation Reduction Act because it provides much-needed relief to families. In fact, it could save Americans an average of $1,800 a year on their energy bills!
The Inflation Reduction Act offers many incentives to families to help them purchase electric vehicles and invest in home energy efficiency improvements. To learn which cars, appliances, and home improvements qualify for tax credits and rebates, check out the White House’s new website:

Simply put, the Inflation Reduction Act is an investment in our future. We still have more work to do, but this is the first, not the final step, in addressing the urgent threat of climate change.
Sincerely,
|
