Two years ago today, Republicans led by Trump, passed one of the worst tax bills in history.
The GOP promised to give breaks to everyday families. But they lied and gave massive tax cuts to corporations and the top 1% instead — leaving everyone else in the dust.
Just take a look at the numbers: Republicans handed millionaires and billionaires $17 billion in savings and gave huge corporations a 14% tax cut. And for the first time in history, the 400 wealthiest Americans paid a lower total tax rate than any other income group last year.
The GOP played those struggling the most for fools. We should be outraged.
To make up for the debt, Trump wants to slash programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid from people who desperately need them. It’s appalling.
Now more than ever, we must double down to take back our government from self-serving Republicans. I promise to fight with everything I’ve got against the GOP’s reckless agenda, but I need your help:
