Rodney Reed has spent his last 22 birthdays on death row in Texas for a crime he didn’t commit — and today, on his 52nd birthday, we want him to know that we're thinking of him.

While Rodney no longer has an impending execution date, he is still on death row. Next year, Rodney and his legal team will be able to present new evidence and witnesses in court, but that hearing hasn't been scheduled — it’s unclear how many more birthdays Rodney will have to spend behind bars.

We’re still working to get Rodney out of prison as soon as possible, and to change the system that allows wrongful convictions like Rodney’s to happen in the first place.
