Hey Friend!
I’m feeling so grounded in community after our Power Building Training in Houston this past weekend. 🧡Almost 100 immigrant youth leaders from all across the country joined us to gain leadership skills & canvass more than 1 thousand voters in Harris County, TX! We chose to come together in Texas this weekend because it's Texas’ Attorney General Ken Paxton who is leading the lawsuit to end DACA.
There are hundreds of thousands of DACA recipients, their family members, & neighbors who have been affected by these attacks on DACA so we had to show out for them this weekend! But we’re not stopping now. Every Thursday starting this week through election day, we’ll be hosting text banks to contact voters who’ll support our immigrant communities and stand up against Republicans’ attacks. 📣 Can you take action from home by joining us to text bank?

This weekend, our leaders and partners participated in trainings about growing a volunteer base, detecting harmful disinformation online, and how to have organizing conversations that move people to action.✊ Building relationships with one another and investing in a new generation of leaders is how we will win!
Each Thursday we’ll get back together on zoom to keep building power by text banking thousands more voters every week from now till election day! If you weren’t with us irl this weekend, don’t worry. 🧑🏫At each text banking session we’ll have a mini-training to make sure everyone is up to speed & comfortable.
💻Catch you on zoom!
