LANSING, Mich. ? Qualified homeowners or renters have less than a week to apply for Michigan?s Home Heating Credit, according to the Michigan Department of Treasury.

?Time is running out to apply for this year?s Home Heating Credit,? If you haven?t already claimed the credit and are eligible to do so, please do not wait to apply.?

The state Treasury Department has been processing Home Heating Credit applications since late January 2022. To date, the average credit is $253, for a total of more than $52 million paid out through the end of August.
