John, the Virginia GOP is in lockstep when it comes to attacking trans youth and their families. Luckily, Democrats are also united to defend the most vulnerable among us.

FIRST: Gov. Youngkin issued an executive directive forcing public schools to discriminate against transgender students.

THEN: Last Tuesday, at a bipartisan meeting of Virginia’s governor and Congressional delegation, Reps. Jennifer Wexton and Abigail Spanberger fought back and tried to explain to Youngkin the harm his directive could have on vulnerable youth and their mental health.

AND: At the same meeting, Rep. Bob Good stood with Youngkin, and disingenuously accused Democrats, like Spanberger and Wexton, of grooming children into becoming transgender.

At that point, Spanberger, a former CIA operative, stood up and shouted, "He’s f****** lying!", with the exact energy we need to carry into November and beyond. Transgender rights are not a political game, and we need to stand up to politicians like Youngkin and Good who put their careers and ideology above the needs of their constituents.

John, we need to defeat Republicans at every level this November, and prepare to do it again next year! Democrats like Hala Ayala and Abigail Spanberger are fighting for all Virginians, including our LGBTQ+ community but we need you to pitch in.
