Small Business Committee Hearing: Office of International Trade
The committee held a hearing to review the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Office of International Trade (OIT). OIT is responsible for supporting small business international trade development and works in cooperation with other federal agencies, public-, and private-sector groups to encourage and assist small businesses looking to export.

Education and Labor Subcommittee Hearing: Examining the Administration of the Unemployment Insurance System
In the Education and Labor Committee's Subcommittee hearing I brought up the Department of Labor's $163 billion estimate of fraudulent unemployment insurance payments made throughout the pandemic at taxpayer expense. Congress approved funds to be distributed given the unprecedented position our country was in, however, evidence suggests disturbing inefficiency that must be addressed.

Introduced Legislation: Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act
This week, I introduced the Keeping Violent Offenders Off Our Streets Act to bring much needed reform to prevent criminals from benefitting from lenient bail and pro-criminal policies. Nearly one year ago, the devastating and tragic event at the Waukesha Christmas parade forever changed our community. This legislation would prevent violent criminals, such as the parade attacker, from being released on low cash bail.

Meeting with Association of Dental Support Organizations
Dental groups from Wisconsin visited my office to discuss the impact of potential OSHA guidelines on post-COVID-19 healthcare standards. As we continue to move on from the pandemic, ensuring our healthcare providers can focus on patient service and not burdensome rules is of top priority.
