John – do you hate getting emails from political campaigns?

If so, you and I have something in common. I wish we didn’t have to send these emails. In fact, I wish we didn’t have to raise money at all.

But of course, we do. Campaign dollars put staff on the ground, pay for radio, TV, and digital ads, and help push back on the $57 million Republicans are spending against me.

And you, our grassroots supporters, are the most important part of our fundraising. So you deserve to know why we’ve been sending so many emails, and why we’re asking for your help right now.

Every goal we set is a real goal, backed by real math and real benchmarks. Every deadline is a real deadline. And when we tell you that we’re falling short, it’s because we really are.

This morning, I reached out to you about our goal to raise $240,000 in 24 hours. Frankly, I don’t know if we’ll reach that goal – it’s the most ambitious one we’ve ever set. But if we can, it will make an enormous difference in keeping our ads on the air, reaching out to voters, and winning this race.

John, I wouldn’t ask you if it weren’t important. Can you rush $3 or whatever you can to our campaign today?
