If you only listen to the pundits, you might think that the race for CA-40 is leaning in Young Kim’s direction, but there’s so much they fail to consider.

Here’s what we’re paying attention to:

1. After redistricting, Young Kim left a neighboring congressional district to run here because she thought it would be an easier race. Kim is new to 80% of voters in CA-40.

2. Kim is a staunch, anti-choice extremist with little support in our community. After primary results were tallied, we learned that two-thirds of local voters rejected Kim. Meanwhile, our campaign earned the largest vote share of any candidate.

3. CA-40 is one of just a dozen Republican-held seats in the country that Biden won in 2020.

To make sure we’re getting this campaign in front of as many people as possible, we’re knocking on doors and have ads running on TV and digital platforms stressing the importance of this race. But we’re up against Young Kim’s mega-donors and over $500,000 from Kevin McCarthy and the Republican party.

Ballots arrive in voters’ mailboxes in two weeks, and our messaging is being drowned out during this critical time. We need all hands on deck to make sure we have the resources to communicate our message. Can you chip in $5 or more to help us reach more voters?
