I’ve always gone where the fight is. After 9/11, I enlisted and became an Army Ranger. We were at war, so when my country called, I stepped up.

I wasn’t going to tell my kids I sat back when my country needed me to serve. So I stepped up and ran for office. And thanks to thousands of volunteers, organizers, and neighbors, I became the first Democrat to represent this district.

I’ve fought tough battles before, and this year’s election is no different. Republicans will spare no expense to retake our House and Senate majority. But if we work together, there’s nothing we can’t overcome.
