Personal Care Agencies Forums

The Department of Health and Human Services (the Department) is hosting two forums for personal care agencies that provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) in a home setting. These forms will be held virtually.

These forums are intended for Registered Personal Care Agencies (22 MRS ?1717).

These provider forums are being held as part of continuing work on Resolves 2021, Ch. 117 which required the Department to review and report on its oversight and enforcement authority over personal care agencies. ?A preliminary report was submitted by the Department to the Legislature in January 2021. This report can be accessed at: https://legislature.maine.gov/doc/8459

The purpose of these forums is to share the Department?s progress on Resolves 2021, Ch. 117 and have a conversation with providers about minimum standards of care that promote quality care and recognize the value of the services home care agencies provide.
