Yesterday, we took a huge step forward for Richmonders. City Council UNANIMOUSLY voted to approve RVA Diamond Partners LLC as the developer for the Diamond District, and I applaud them for that.
This is a major investment in the people of Richmond. We're talking about $2.4 billion of investment in our city. Richmonders will live here, Richmonders will work here, and Richmonders will play right here in the Diamond District.
My Administration and Council have worked together diligently to deliver not only the largest economic development project in our city’s history, but also the most equitable.
Together is how we move our city forward. This is how we bring the fix.
