John,
Yesterday, a secret email was sent by the Minnesota Republican Party to all GOP candidates and campaigns across the state with tips on how to downplay the issue of abortion.
In the email, they claim that the MN GOP position is that abortion rights are not on the ballot this year. That is a lie. Here is their actual position on abortion, as outlined in their official Minnesota Republican Party Platform:

John, and that’s not even the half of it.
GOP candidate for governor, Scott Jensen, has repeatedly pledged to ban abortion outright without exceptions for rape or incest. GOP candidate for Attorney General, Jim Schultz, promised to go “on offense” criminalizing reproductive freedom in Minnesota. And MN GOP legislators introduced a Texas-style abortion ban on the very first day of this year’s legislative session.
Over and over again, Minnesota Republicans up and down the ballot have gone on record pledging to ban abortion if they win in November. We can’t let them walk back their position now just because they realized how unpopular it is.
Our communications team put together a media plan to correct the record, but we need to lock in our budget before we can launch it. After moving a few things around, we’re confident we can move forward if we raise an additional $15,000 by tomorrow night.
Right now, Republicans are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars lying to voters about their plans to end reproductive freedom in Minnesota. We can’t let them get away with it. Send a donation that works for you right now to help us launch this media blitz and hold them accountable!
Thank you,
Minnesota DFL
